Nothing has changed..

A day after Kuya Jayson's arrival..

The four Computer Engineers and a soon to be IT Professional (lols), Me, Kuya Jayson, Elson, Crux and Yamz ate at City Grill. Good food. It's almost been a year since the last that we're together and I somehow missed our company. Nothing has changed.


I just don't like the bloody comment that I don't eat seafoods. Damn?! Hello, Mark calling Earth! Who do he thought I am? A bloody astrophysical creature from the planet not known to brainless Earthlings?! I just don't like to receive side comments which are not true, and obviously not true. That bloody pig invited me before somewhere in downtown to eat, and the only available viand was a grilled freshly caught fish. So that evidence is clear enough that what he said was a freaking big lie. Or maybe his early Alzheimer's Disease is taking effect. Hahahah...

Anyway, that's alright. What's important, I'm with my friends again, I'm with my best friend again.. We're supposed to go out after the dinner but today's the first day of my training at Northernworks, so I need to attend it and leave them before 10 PM. The good thing, the worst won't happen. The bad thing, my best friend's stay here in Cebu is limited, so if possible, I would really like to spend some time with them. That's the way it is, and there's nothing I can do about it. I'm just looking forward that I can spend some other time with my best bud before he leave Philippines again.

My Take on MMORPGs

I'm back on my game again! MMORPG or Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game is a genre of online game wherein you role-play a character, kill monsters until you level up. While leveling up, you gain more useful and powerful skills that will aid you in your leveling journey to a particular virtual world. And this is not all about leveling up, because you are playing with other players from different part of the country. You can organize a party so that it's not only you will be fighting with those monsters. More heads are better than one, right? Dealing with other persons that you don't know but you share the same interest is so much fun, and that made me love playing online games more.

Though you need to spare more time, effort and perhaps money for you to achieve your desired level, the undeniable fun is unmistakably irreplaceable. There's a saying that goes, "The time you enjoyed wasting is not a wasted time."

Online gaming is just like what's happening in the real world. You start from level 1, and you continue to face challenges. You gain experience and you're leveling up, which makes you a better, stronger and smarter person. Sometimes, you need somebody to support you as you face your quests, that's your party!

It's time to Level up!

Decision Making

Red or black? Which is better?

To be or not to be? That is the question..

Decisions... decisions... decisions... It's a make or break. It's now or never. Your decision can change your life. At first, you don't have have an idea if you made the right or wrong decision. You'll just find out once you already decided -- now, the consequence. Is it good or bad? or worse? It's like walking in your road of life. In the middle of your journey, you'll encounter a loop. Which way will you choose? It's up to you, but once you have chosen, there's no turning back. You need to continue your journey despite the multitude of blunders waiting ahead.

If you made the right decision, that's great! You deserve that. On the other hand, if you made the wrong decision, good luck. Rest assured that you'll finish your journey stronger and smarter, and you'll never fall for the same mistake again.

I believe there are no right or wrong decisions in life. It's how you face it. It's how you stand up for it. As Newton states in his third law of motion, "For every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction."

Will I be hired at Convergys?

Today was my scheduled initial interview at Convergys. The interview was fine, and it's great that I have only been asked few questions. I passed that phase of the hiring process and I was endorsed to take the examinations. I believe that was a profiling exam because you need to answer the technical and customer service related questions. I'm satisfied with my answers since I have now base hand experience with customer service and I'm a bit knowledgeable with those techy stuff. After the written exam, we took the online exams, which is almost similar with the exams I have taken when I applied at PLDT. That included the typing test, transcribing information and selecting appropriate answers to a call scenario. I've been there for like 8 hours starting from 9:30 in the morning. Quite a long day huh.. I was scheduled for a final interview this Friday, March 20, 2009. I hope I'll get the job. I want to work again, and earn again..

4th Trabaho sa Turismo Job Fair

The last day of "4th Trabaho sa Turismo" job fair by the Department of Tourism has been concluded at the SM City Cebu Trade Hall. I participated in this event since I'm also looking for a job right now. I'm with my classmate Cristine and her sister. There were lots of people who were also seeking for jobs. Freebies were also given by companies once you applied for any position they posted. What's good in this job fair, is that you won't need to submit a resume to the company that you want to apply for. Before you enter the job fair hall, you will be prompted to create an online resume if you didn't pre-register online. The resume that you encoded will be transferred to their servers and it will be embedded in a somewhat ATM like card. What you will need to do is just present your card to the exhibitor and they will scan it, and you may choose what position you want to apply and your good to go. Just wait for their call. Time and effort are saved.

Anyway, tomorrow will be my initial interview at Convergys. This is also the reason why I can't join my former team mates to our supposedly GA. Well, hope they'll enjoy their outing.

My four Best Friends..

Divine's the first person to call me bestfriend.. That was August 23, 2003. Kaya sya una kong bezfrhen.. (This is how we spell it.) She's my closest friend ever.. Pero it's tragic.. That's another story.. Another post..

He's been a good friend of mine since first year, kaya bespren ko tong maituturing, and we're really best of friends.. kaso may sariling mundo tong kumag na to.. hahaha.. pero, still we share the same interest saka mabuting tao talaga to.. I forgot to take note of the date, when he called me best friend.. heheh.. basta somewhere in December 2006..

Si Kuya Jayson.. Ang pinakamakulit kong bespren na walang alam gawin kundi mangasar.. Kasama ko to since first year.. Kasama, literally.. Kasi kung asan sya, andun din ako.. Pareho kaming cum laude.. Kaya di nya alam na it was November 9,2004 when he called me best friend.. It was lunch time and siguro pinapalakas lang nya loob ko noon because that date was also the day when I represented my school in the Statistics quiz.
