Another hundred

I can't believe that I still got a hundred score in my last 2 audits. That's 3 consecutive 100. I'm so lucky that the system picked my easy calls. I know if my other calls will be audited, I'll definitely get an Inaccuracy errors or Service Skill errors. I hope this will continue until nesting. Still, I want to be out of this account. I'm still willing to learn more, though. I don't know what would happen this coming weeks.

FYI Week First Audit

Since I passed Gating, here comes FYI week. For 5 days, we'll still be taking in calls for 4 hours and our calls will be audited by the QAs but whatever our score will be won't affect our score cards.

First Day of FYI Week...

I don't think I can stay longer with this account. I would like to give up at this point. I was able to handle most of my calls properly, but until when? There are lots of things that I need to be familiar with in this account. Medical terms, procedures, policies and all that stuff. I'm not medically trained, I'm only trained to answer member's inquiries with regards to their benefits and eligibility, which I'm still having a hard time to do. I know it's normal to feel this way because it's my first time to handle a health care account and to speak with the customer with no scripts. I really need to use the remaining part of my brain.

6:00 A.M. At last! Time to stop taking calls. I was surprised that I got a hundred in my very first audit. I'm not expecting it, and I'm the only one who got a hundred in our class. I was very lucky that my easiest call for the day was picked and reviewed. Good Lord! Thanks God!

Tomorrow.. I hope I can still maintain the score. I know in time, I'll learn how to accept this. In time..

Gating 2

Since I failed Gating 1, I still need to be gated back for me to be endorsed to FYI week. I was kinda lucky that our trainer, Macky, gated me. I passed.

I'm still not liking the account. It's challenging, I know, but it's really different from the previous accounts that I've been to. I hope I'll be fine in the coming days because I know I will not succeed if I won't show interest with the account. Best of luck for me.

The Gating Experience

We just finished our Client Specific Training last week and we had our Gating earlier. It’s the first time we took live calls and this will determine if we will proceed to nesting. My gater was one of the QA and I expect that it would be challenging for me to pass this. My first call was kind of difficult because I’m not that familiar on how to handle COBRA inquiries. I really don’t know what to do and what to say to the member. The succeeding calls are still the same. I’m quite familiar with some of the issues but the problem was, I don’t know if I’m doing the right thing or not and I tend to keep on asking. I think it’s better to ask than to commit mistakes and provide the member wrong information. After six calls for more than 3 hours, I was told that I still need to attend Gating 2, which means that I’m not yet endorsed to Nesting.

I’m feeling that this is not the right account for me. I find this account challenging but I don’t think I can still cope up with it. The account is nice, yes it is, but I don’t feel that I’m interested. I’m feeling that I don’t have the will to pass the training. Although I would like to pass, but basing on the calls I received and the knowledge I have right now, I don’t think I will make it. Good luck to me tonight.

New Facebook Homepage sucks

SAN FRANCISCO (AFP) - – Legions of Facebook users united in protest, demanding that the world's most popular social-networking service undo recent changes to its home page.

A "Change Facebook Back to Normal" group at the website claimed slightly more than a million members as once again, Facebook's penchant for change triggered ire among users that prefer things remain the same.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it," a Facebook user with the screen name Carlos Deleon wrote on a protest group chat page.

On Friday, Facebook modified its news feed feature to let members of the world's leading social-networking service catch up on tidbits they may have missed while away from the website.

Facebook now lets members switch between getting real time streams of news or activities taking place, and highlights of what friends have shared online in the preceding 24 hours.

News Feed picks re-cap stories based on factors including how many friends have liked and commented on them.

The Live Feed option funnels updates and news about online friends' activities to Facebook home pages as the information surfaces.

"When we redesigned the Facebook home page last March, we heard from millions of users whose feedback was gathered and considered in developing News Feed and Live Feed," Facebook said in an email response to an AFP inquiry.

"Whenever we launch new products, we listen carefully to our users about what specific changes we can make to improve their experiences on the site."

Some Facebook users on Monday posted instructions describing a way to reset the former news feed mode to home pages by making "status updates" a default option.

"We encourage people to continue to send us constructive, detailed feedback and are committed to using it to inform how we build and improve the site for everyone," Facebook said.

Yes.. I'm starting to hate this new facebook. I'm not getting the live updates from my friends. The loading is so slow. Most of my friends are no longer sharing videos.

PBB Double Up Day 2

Kakasimula pa lang ng linggo at Double Up na rin ang pangyayari sa loob ng bahay ni Kuya.


Nagswitch na ng houses ang dalawang Kambal. Si Kenny at JP ay nasa House B na at si Toffi at JM sa House A. Nahirapan ang mga kambal sa House B dahil pinaghinalaan agad sila ng mga babaeng housemates.

Samantala, binigyan ni Kuya ang mga housemates ng isang special task na susubok sa kanila kung sila'y handang magsakripisyo ng ilang materyal na bagay na mahalaga sa kanila. Kung anuman ang ilang maibigay ay mapupunta sa mga biktima ng bagyong Ondoy.

Bago matapos ang araw, ipinaalam ni kuya kay JM na hindi naaprubahan ang kanyang notice of leave sa trabaho. Pinapili sya ni kuya kung nais nyang manatili sa bahay ngunit mas pinili nyang magvoluntary exit na lamang dahil mas mahalaga sa kanya ang kanyang trabaho.

Nakapasok na ang first batch of housemates ng Pinoy Big Brother Double Up. Tinawag na Double Up ang season na ito dahil hahatiin ang mga housemates sa dalawang grupo na maninirahan sa dalawang magkaibang bahay ni Kuya.

Lexmark Localization OJTs - The Reunion

October 18, 2009

After more than a year, the Lexmark Research and Development Corporation Localization On-the-Job Trainees were reunited. We had our eat-all-you-can lunch at Royal Concourse located at Gorordo Avenue. Me, Retchel, Glenn, Jofil, Eduardo, Gestoni, Mellomar and Dumski were there. I thought I could eat a lot. I don't like the food. It's very different from the other eat-all-you-can restaurants that I've tried. I think my 168php was not worth it. Anyway, it's the thought that counts. What's important is we're together. Nonetheless, I won't recommend and visit this restaurant again.

After we ate our lunch, Rodney and Denmark arrived. The restaurant was about to close that time that's why they weren't able to eat. We're having our pictorials outside the place and Monica arrived. We tried to contact our other fellow OJTs who were not there but they're not able to make it. Anabelle, Heart, Jill, Gladys, Rosanne and Crux were not there.

From Royal Concourse, we went straight ahead to SM and we watch the movie Street Fighter - The Legend of Chun-Li. It was an old movie but since the ticket is only 15 pesos, we still went ahead and watch it.

After the movie, it's parting time once again. This mini-reunion is not over though. We're planning to have another get-together event by the end of November and that would be on a beach. I hope that everyone will be able to attend.

It's a good thing that even we're on our separate ways, we still have time to spend together. After the wonderful working experience at Lexmark, we're now pursuing our different careers. Good for Rodney, Denmark and Gladys because they're still with Lexmark. I'm still hoping that I could still work for this company. It's one of the reason why I opted to stay here in Cebu. But if it's not for me, that alright. That OJT experience I think is enough to make me realize what would I want to be in the future..

He may have the face and the body of a model, but to people in his hometown, he is often called by many names like ‘Hilaw na Kano’ or ‘Bangaw Bangaw’ which is a term of a filthy kid. Tom would frequently get into fight with these people. Life became more challenging when he migrated to the US to be with his family. He struggled with speaking in English and had a difficulty communicating with people around him. Tom finished college with a degree in Digital Animation, but still he couldn’t get a job in this field. He flew to Hongkong to pursue his passion, but instead he found romance which was unfortunately short lived. What would you consider your greatest accomplishment so far? Becoming a housemate. What/who will you miss the most upon entering Kuya’s house? My four-year-old nephew and one-year-old niece. If you can be a celebrity for a day, who would you be and why? Princess was raised by her grandparents because her mother was busy working in Japan. After high school, she left the Philippines to be with her mom in Japan. But there she discovered her mother’s dark secret. She was greatly devastated so she decided to live on her own in the Land of the Rising Sun. Princess worked as a restaurant receptionist and as a language translator and interpreter. She fell in love with a man who later broke her heart. What would you consider your greatest accomplishment so far? Being able to survive in any place that I’ve been in. What/who will you miss the most upon entering Kuya’s house? Being a free-spirited person I will definitely miss the freedom in the outside world. Do you think you’ll get along well with the other housemates? Why? I hope so. I’m a good listener naman. Pinoy Big Brother Double Up

October 4 marked the opening of the Big Brother house and its third season. With its magical reveal, Kuya made his new batch of housemates appear and vanish without a trace in front of a live audience at the PBB eviction hall. Also, the mystery of the term “double up” was revealed – two houses and two sets of twins!

First inside Kuya’s house was Princess Manzon, who auditioned in Tokyo, Japan. Born and raised in Cebu, Princess left the Philippines when she was in highschool to live with her mom in Japan. There she discovered something about her mom which prompted her to live independently. Called the “Sassy Vamp of Cebu,” Princess is currently working as a receptionist and a language instructor.

Following Princess inside the house is Tom Mott who is from the USA. The “Romantic Stud” is a native of Samar but migrated to the States when he was twelve years old with his mom and dad, who’s part of the US Navy. He spoke little English when he moved abroad and was ridiculed. Tom loves to draw and would love to pursue a career in Digital Animation.

Up next was Delio Dimaculangan, a cook from Batangas. Delio had to work at a young age and was not able to finish his studies. He got his boss’ daughter pregnant and he was not able to see his child. He was reunited with his wife and child two years after and now he is determined to give them a better life.

Paul Jake Castillo followed Delio inside the house. Also from Cebu like Princess, Paul on the other hand from a well-off family and was able to put up a business of his own at the age off twenty-two. However, the “Negotiante Prince” prides himself for being down-to-earth for he is able to get along with people from all walks of life.

Tough guy Jason Francisco of Mindoro was full of energy upon his entrance on stage. Infamous in his hometown for starting brawls and other mischief, “Boy Astig” admits that he is not one to back out of a fight. Idolizing actor Robin Padilla, Jason says he always gets what he wants.

Next was Melisa Cantiveros, the funny lady from General Santos City. Nicknamed Inday Kengkay, Melisa looks at the positive side of things despite people teasing her about her looks. The aspiring teacher hopes she can impart happiness to other people wherever she goes.

Multi-lingual Hottie Yuri Okawa definitely wowed the audience with her pretty petite looks. Yuri can speak five languages – Spanish, Portuguese, English, Filipino and Nihonggo which she has learned living in different parts of the world. Her goal is to help support her family working as a waitress in Japan while on leave from her nursing studies.

Shy type Carolyn Batay followed Yuri inside Kuya’s house. Deemed as the “Conservative Pharmacist ng Tondo,” Carolyn grew up in a traditional Chinese household. She admits that this has hindered her from exploring the world and hopefully with her stint with Big Brother this will change her perspective on some things.

A certified Davaoena, Marielle Sorino confessed that she had her rebellious stage in life, drinking and partying because of her conflict with her parents, specially her mom. A single mom, Marielle says she has moved out of her parents home and is trying her best to raise her son on her own.

Another mom, but this time a widow from Pampanga joined Marielle inside the house. Yhel become a mother at 14 years old and lost her husband to a gang war at the age of 20. Yhel gets her inspiration to go on with life from her two children but admits it’s very hard to raise her kids since she hasn’t even finished high school.

And last but not the least Kuya reveals two sets of twins – college varsity basketball players Kenny and Toffi Santos and family guys JP and JM Lagumbay. With this double up reveal, Kuya also divulges to the pairs that he has two houses. He then gives them the first task of the season, a switch of identities and houses at his signal, anytime within the week. Should any of them be discovered or the secret of the two houses revealed to the other housemates, the twins would automatically be forced evicted from the Kuya’s abode. Would the twins be able to pull the old switcheroo trick?

Also it seems like Kuya’s surprises does not end tonight. Looks like he’s got more tricks up his sleeve for a Spook-tacular Reveal next week. Typhoon Ondoy

While it's hot here in Cebu, it's been raining hard in most part of Luzon. Typhoon Ondoy, Ketsana internationally, brought the worst flood in history after more than 30 years. Ondoy is not a super typhoon but its strong rain made this typhoon devastating.

I was worried because the news stated that most part of Rizal was affected. My family in Teresa was indeed affected. The knee-deep flood entered our house. That's the first time it happened to us. My sister who is now living in Tanay, Rizal with his husband was also affected. They are forced to leave their residence and evacuate in our home in Teresa.

Tayong Dalawa Finale

I know it's a bit too late to post this but I would still like to share my thoughts in the finale of one of my favorite TV shows, Tayong Dalawa.


The End..

After Audrey's death, I expected that the story will end with Marlene's family being reunited. It did happen. Marlene pleaded Ramon to surrender with high hopes that his life can still change. However, while Ramon is being escorted by his family through the police, the insane Ingrid arrived and grabbed a gun from a nearby policeman and shot Ramon. I thought he will die but he only just got blinded. Ingrid was sent to a mental institution. JR and Dave we're now together with their mother. All well that ends well.


Tayong Dalawa Sequel?

Before the soap ended, there was a scene were Rosanna Roces and Enchong Dee appeared and they introduced themselves as the wife of David and David Garcia III.

So there's a third David. I hope there won't be a sequel because a lot of original characters of this soap died. Mamita, Stan, Greta, Lola Gets and Audrey. The show won't be complete without them.


My final thoughts...

I hope Audrey did not die, or her death should be the finale. That would be a better ending I suppose. I'll miss this teleserye. What I liked about this show, the characters were given equal importance unlike other typical series that will only focus to the lead characters, in this case, Audrey, JR and Dave. I hope ABS-CBN can still make another series like this. Two thumbs up!
