I'm having the worst month of my life..
Yesterday, January 27, 2009, I went home about 9am in the morning, just to find out that my boarding house has been ransacked. The laptop given to me by Kuya Jayson and my cellphone was taken, together with the bag of my new boardmate, Elson. He said he left the house around 6:30 in the morning, and all the things are fine. So it means, that those burglars knew that nobody was left inside and they did their stuff. It was too late when I arrived.
I felt I've lost an arm and a leg. It's the first time that I left my phone at home because I always bring it with me. I was just in a hurry the other night that's why I forgot to bring it. Too bad, the moment I left my phone, the time this incident happen. I guess I ran out of luck. 3 weeks ago, I've been into the same incident. I lost my phone too, and now I lost my new phone again. What hurts the most, my beloved notebook that's been a part of my life has been taken also. I value it so much aside from the fact that it was given to me by must best bud. My day won't be complete without it. That notebook has been my newly found bestfriend.
Almost everything important to me has been taken away. Let's add the news I just found out about my other bestfriend. And the contingency that I won't be regularized in my job. I'm expecting 1 month from now, I'll be unemployed again. I just can't meet my stats even though I'm doing what I can. It's just not that easy to work in contact center, especially if you're a newbie.. Anyway, I've enjoyed my job somehow.
Lesson learned. I believe this is a lesson for me to be more responsible, sensitive ,careful and value time more. You'll realize the worth of something when it's gone. I'm missing the laptop. I really don't care about the phone, I can buy that anytime... Back to basics. Back to being simple me. T_T

Annular Solar Eclipse Today
I've read an article from yahoo.com news about the annular solar eclipse that will take place tonight, January 26, 2009. People in the Indian Ocean will luckily witness this rare event from 0606 GMT to 0952 GMTAn annular solar eclipse occurs when the Sun and the moon are exactly in line, but the apparent size of the moon is smaller than that of the sun. Hence, the Sun appears as a very bright ring, or annulus, surrounding the outline of the Moon.
I've never witnessed any solar eclipse, so I hope I would be able to take a glimpse to this eclipse even for a minute. But I'm able to witness a Lunar Eclipse.

PARIS (AFP) – A few lucky people in the Indian Ocean will be treated to a rare event on Monday when an annular solar eclipse will transform the Sun into a dark disc with a blazing ring-shaped corona around its rim.
In solar eclipses, the Moon moves between the Sun and Earth, casting its shadow on the terrestrial surface.
In an annular eclipse, a tiny shift in distance that results from celestial mechanics means the Moon does not completely cover the Sun's face, as it does in a total eclipse.
Instead, for those directly under the alignment, the Moon covers most of the Sun's surface, and a ring-like crown of solar light blazes from the edge of the disk.
For those watching from the fringe of the track, the Sun is partially obscured, as if a bite has been taken out of it.
According to veteran NASA eclipse-watcher Fred Espenak, the total eclipse track will run from west to east on Monday from 0606 GMT to 0952 GMT.
It will traverse the Indian Ocean and western Indonesia before petering out just short of Mindanao, the Philippines.

Dismissed
Word for the day: "DISMISSED"
I received 2 KIR (Keep It Real) Violations. What happened was I reactivated a free AOL account to dial up plan. The member cannot get online using his password and as far as I remember, he reset the password 4 times already and he can't still get online. Then I asked his connectivity type and he answered dial-up. That's the main reason why I offered the member to reactivate the account because free members won't be able to connect to AOL over a dial-up connection. My violation was, I took advantage of the member which is definitely not true and not my intention. My other violation was call avoidance because I transferred the member to the technical department instead of resetting the password myself. My understanding is that, the member already did the password reset and he can't still get online. And since I have reactivated the account, he needs assistance for him to get started that's why I transferred him.
When I checked my mail and I'm about to acknowledge the violations, I noticed that the action or penalty for this violation is Dismissed, so I assume that I'll be removed from the program, just to find out that Dismissed pertains to the violation I committed, which means I did the right thing. I know my TL disputed this and I owe her this. That's how great my TL is.
I always wanted to leave the portals of my program. Now I know how it feels like. I don't want to be the first evictee, and if that will happen, I would rather prefer voluntary exit than eviction. Guess I'm not really dismissed.

Confused... stay or go..
I'm still confused whether I will stay in my boarding house or join my former boardmates in the new apartment. We're all supposed to transfer to that apartment since the whole boarding house will be supposedly rented by somebody. So they decided to find a new apartment and they found one. They're already staying there. I've already paid for the rent of the apartment but when I found out that the rental of the whole boarding house will be postponed, it came to my mind just to stay. Well, another tough decision to make. It's either I'll stay here and enjoy my loneliness, or be with them and suffer the consequences. But if I won't stay with them, who will substitute my partition with their rent. The problem is, in the new place, there's no internet cafe nearby and that won't do me no good. hahaha...

Sinulog 2009 Experience
Pit Senyor!
After my shift, I went back home to prepare for the Sinulog Celebration Grand Mardi Gras. I'm with Cristine, Claire, Tonette and her sister. The street dance still amazed me. I had fun watching them. The rain fell for a moment by the late afternoon, but it's not that strong so we're not totally wet. That rain didn't stop us from watching. Unlike last year, I saw more celebrities than this year. I haven't seen any float or artists from the two biggest networks here in Cebu. However, I have seen Marian Rivera and Will Devaughn, endorsing Jag; KC Concepcion and Richard Guttierez, promoting their valentine movie, and Senators Bong Revilla and Migz Zubiri, doing a campaign? LOLs.. I don't think so. So, to sum it up, last year's Sinulog is far more lively than today's. I've still enjoyed it though.
This day won't be complete if I won't drop by along the Colon St and buy DVD. The DVDs are very cheap, from 5 pesos, 3 for 10 pesos, 10 pesos, and 20 pesos each. No media board director arrived so I guess that was safe. What I hate about what I bought, I was deceived by the cover of the DVD. The cover is different from the CD itself and I'm very frustrated with that. After that, here what I'm doing. Instead of sleeping, I went to the internet cafe and post this blog.

Late again..
I got late again for the third time. That's one minute late from the finger scan and another minute for the avaya. It's becoming my habit now. I should change it, I know I should. I don't know. I just don't feel like working. I know it's not right to think this way, but I'm really not loving my job. My third instance of my tardiness is a ground for suspension I guess so I should anticipate for a cite from my team lead. My team lead also discussed me my performance for the past 4 months and as expected I failed it. This is not really my thing but I'm really doing what I can to perform my job as best as I could. But I guess this isn't really the best and I know I can do somehting about it, I just don't know what to do.

Sinulog Festival will be celebrated tomorrow. This is the most anticipated event here in Cebu and I'm really excited for it. I love watching the street dance and it really depicted how Cebuanos value their religion, and how strong their faith is. Tomorrow's gonna be a big day and tiring day for me.
